About Us

The Finishing Touch II, Inc. is a family run paint business. We have been offering professional paint services to the New River Valley for 20 years.

Originally owned and operated by Steve Waller, ‘The Finishing Touch’ was turned over to Dennis Siegfried, his son-in-law, when Steve semi-retired. Dennis and Johanna Siegfried incorporated the business as ‘The Finishing Touch II, Inc.” Dennis is a licensed Class B contractor with over 20 years painting experience. He specializes in interior and exterior residential painting and commercial painting.

Also working with us as a lead painter is Daniel Smith. Daniel is a licensed Class C contractor with eleven years painting experience. Daniel specializes in airless spray painting. Glenn Parks works full time for the company, has five years painting experience and is a real pro. Mike Taylor is a semi-part-time worker with twenty years painting experience. Steve is now “semi-retired” and works as our estimator. And with 30 years painting experience he is by far our best asset.

Why pick a properly insured contractor?

As a property owner, it is in your best interest to only allow properly insured contractors to work on your premises. A properly insured contractor is a contractor that maintains general liability and workers compensation insurance. This contractor should be able to provide proof upon your request that they maintain these insurances.

A contractor that maintains adequate general liability insurance is covered for damage they may cause to your property or injury they may cause to a property owner, their residence, tenants or guests. In addition, a contractor should maintain workers compensation insurance that would cover injury to the contractor or their employees while working at your premises.

There’s no reason to take a chance using an uninsured contractor. You could find yourself held liable for an injury to one of their workers. Often uninsured contractors are unwilling to repair damage they may do to your property or lack the financial resources to compensate an injured party. So take the time to find out about a contractors insurance program before agreeing to hire them.
